On April 23, the largest Japanese airline, ANA, and the Tata Group’s carrier, Air India, agreed to codeshare to improve connectivity between the two countries.

From April 23, travelers flying on codeshare flights shared between Air India and ANA can enjoy premium services like access to lounges. Plus, they get priority boarding, such as Star Alliance’s best members. Thus, you can now buy tickets for these special India flights. 

As part of the agreement, Air India will put its ‘AI’ code on ANA India flights connecting Delhi with Tokyo Haneda and Tokyo Narita with Mumbai. On the other hand, ANA will use its ‘NH’ code on Air India’s flights linking Tokyo Narita with Delhi. 

Meanwhile, as mentioned in a statement, ‘Air India Flights and ANA are thinking of expanding their work together on more routes in the future.
